ADVANTAGES
OF THE CD FORMAT
The advantage of this CD
is that it is a convenient and easy way of accessing information, as
most companies and educational facilities have computers available for
technical or managerial staff. It can either stand-alone or be
connected to a network if the disc is licensed. The computer does not
need any special requirements apart from Windows 95 and above, as the
program files contain their own operating system. Therefore, there are
no installation procedures. The use of CD is fairly new and has
advantages over books by being able to incorporate video, color
photographs and diagrams to illustrate points in the text.
